DIY Manicure!

There is nothing I love more than a great manicure, but the $15-$30 can easily add up so I have perfected the DIY mani. I love changing my nail color at least twice a week and these simple steps make it easy to have a salon look without the salon cost.

What you need to start:
1. Base coat (I use the Sephora by OPI base coat)
2. Nail polish remover pen. Key for clean ups for a professional looking mani. (I use the Essie pen)
3. Top coat (My favorites are Essie and Seche Vite)
4. Nail clippers
5. Nail file
6. Nail buffer
7. Nail polish of choice

(Step One: Trim nails)
*I think nails look best clean and short, especially with a bright color

(Step 2: File nails. I like a square nail with rounded sides)

(Step 3: Buff nails to smooth out ridges)
*This will make polish go on smoother

(Step 4: Apply one coat of your base coat)

(Step 5: Apply two coats of nail polish)

(Step 6: Apply one coat of your top coat for a shine finish or none for a matte finish)

(End result! The perfect at home manicure)

* Nail Polish used: Tangerine by Essie
